Vishnampet Jayanthinathan (AKA Jay Nathan), Chairman/CEO

Jay Nathan, the founder and CEO of Engineering Systems Solutions, has extensive “hands on” experience in broad range of Information Systems initiatives for the Federal Government.  Mr. Nathan retired from the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel with over 21 years experience involving assignments at the highest levels within the Air Force and the Department of Defense.  His activities involved managing, systems design, program management, and operations for strategic and tactical initiatives.

Donnie Blanks, President and Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining ESS Donnie was the President of Broadmoor Consulting Inc.  The focus of Broadmoor Consulting Inc was market research, market positioning, market strategy and partner alliance programs in the Government Technology market place. Prior to creating Broadmoor Consulting Inc Donnie was CEO of NeuralIQ, a developer of cyber intelligence tools for information security.  NeuralIQ’s tools give IT security professionals a new ally.  One that learns from attackers in real time, exposing their tools, methods, and intentions before critical assets are compromised.  NeuralIQ's real-time intrusion forensics systems deliver cyber intelligence in real-time and in the process make traditional IT security professionals smarter and more agile.

Anand Nathan, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy

Anand Nathan is the CFO and Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy for ESS and joined the company in January 2009. Prior to ESS, Anand spent 4 years as a Senior Associate at the large, New York City based, private equity firm Kohlberg, Kravis, and Roberts (KKR) in their Capstone Group. At KKR, Anand worked with the senior management teams of the portfolio companies to improve their operations.

Dr. Vijay Varadan, Scientific Advisor

Vijay K. Varadan is currently the Twenty-First Century Endowed Chair in Nano-and Bio-Technology and Medicine, and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering (College of Engineering) and Neurosurgery (College of Medicine) at University of Arkansas. He is also a Professor of Neurosurgery at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He also holds honorary doctorate degrees in Nano-, and Bio-Technologies and Medicine.
